WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Essie H. Brannen, age 78, died Sunday morning at her residence after a brief illness. The Bulloch County native lived most of her life in Millen before moving to Waynesboro one year ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the Waynesboro First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Brannen was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Brannen, a daughter, Janice Nicholson Rosborough and two sisters, Melourne Oliver and Sara Edwards. Survivors include her grandchildren, Steven and Rebecca Rosborough of Waynesboro; Catherine R. and Robbie Allen of Cummings; and Laura R. and Wade Marchman of Waynesboro; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Waynesboro First United Methodist Church. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Waynesboro First United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that remembrances be made to the Waynesboro First United Methodist Church, Building Fund, P.O. Box 420, Waynesboro, Ga. 30830
