Obituary Mrs. Charles Parr

Margaret Ellen Baker was born in Audubon County, Iowa, August 29, 1889, and passed away from this life at the Finley hospital in Dubuque, Iowa, January 6, 1924, at the age of 34 years, 4 months and 7 days. She grew to womanhood at Coon Rapids, Iowa, and moved with her parents to Spirit Lake about sixteen years ago.

She later was united in marriage to Charles Parr of Coon Rapids to which union was born one child, Novella Lucille, now 15 years of age.

On June 15 1910, she was united in marriage to Albert C Grady, this union being blessed by four children; Carlyle Albert, John Wesley, Joseph Kenneth and Glen Orville. Mr. Grady preceded his wife in death January 4, 1920.

On April 8, 1922, she was reunited in marriage to Charles Parr. And on January 1st. of this last year, a little daughter was born. Mother and child seemed to be getting along niecly until after several days, complications set in, from which the mother's death resulted. The love and sympathy of a host of friends goes out to the bereft husband and little folk and other dear ones in this unexpected sad hour.

Besides her husband and six children, she leaves to mourn her decease, her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Baker, Sr,; four sisters, Mrs. Katheryn Browning, Mrs. Neil Nelson, Mrs. Viola George of Spirit Lake, and Mrs. Mildred Droll of Spencer, Iowa; four brothers, Albert S. of Glenwood City, Wisc,; Edward B., John, Jr., and Wilson O., of Spirit Lake.

While a young girl Mrs. Parr gave her heart to God and united with the Christian church.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. H. Edge and were held from the partental home in Spirit Lake, Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 , and interment made in Lake View cemetery.
