She is born as Antje Bosma in the village Oudeschoot in the former municipality Schoterland, which became in 1934 part of the new municipality Heerenveen, in the midsouth of the Dutch northern province Friesland. Her parents are Yntze Klazes Bosma and Martje Siebes Bultsma.

She married on 22 May 1881 at Heerenveen, in the midsouthern part of the Dutch northern province Friesland, at the age of 23 years to the one year older Kornelis Lukkes.

In 1900 Anna Lucas resided with her husband Cornelius in the former village Salesville, Gallatin County, in the southwestern part of Montana.

In May 1904 she died at the age of 46 years in Gallatin County. Her widower Cornelius Lucas alias Kornelis Lukkes returned after her death to the Netherlands, province Friesland, where he was born, and remarried on 18 June 1910 at Heerenveen to the 14 years younger Geeske Hoekstra.
