Don Gabriel Pullen, of Passaic, N.J, world renowned jazz pianist, died on Saturday, April 22, 1995, in East Orange, N.J. at the home of his brother after a lengthy battle with cancer. Survivors include one daughter, Tracey, Passaic, N.J.; three sons, Andre, Bronx, N.Y., Don, River Edge, N.J, and Keith G., Passaic, N.J.; one granddaughter, Kyra, River Edge, N.J.; his father, Rev. Aubrey Pullen, Roanoke; one sister, Doris (Clarence) Todd, Roanoke; three brothers, James (Grace) Pullen, Roanoke, Aubrey (Lettie) Pullen Jr., West Haven, Conn., Keith (Sandra) Pullen, East Orange, N.J.; a loving friend, Jana Haimsohn, N.Y; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 27, 1995 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, corner of Jefferson and Wells Ave, Dr. Kenneth Wrisht officiating. The wake will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 1995 at Hamlar-Curtis Chapel from 7 to 8 p.m.
