John B. Allen is Dead
John B. Allen, formerly of Baldwin, died in the state hospital at Osawatomie Tuesday morning after a long illness. He had been in the hospital since March 3. The decedent is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lydia Allen, who lives at 921 North Poplar Street, Ottawa, and the following children: Mrs. Ida Hoffman of Kansas City, Mrs. Emma Scheer (step-daug.) of Los Angeles, Calif.; and George Allen. Mrs. Julia Mulvaney of Ottawa is a step-daughter of the decedent. Mr. Allen was a member of the Methodist church and of the G.A.R.

The body was brought to Baldwin yesterday where funeral services were held in the Methodist church. Burial was in the Baldwin cemetery.
