Edith Russell Berry, 84, died Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Mountain View Nursing Home. She was the daughter of the late John William and Lillie Mae Harrelson Mason and the widow of the late James Berry. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker.
Survivors include a son; John "Pete" Berry and wife Ellen of Spartanburg, a brother; Johnny Mason and wife Peggy of Wellford, eight grandchildren; Lesa Gardner and husband Rodney, Sandra Tucker and husband John, Petey Berry and wife Allison, Darlene Millwood and husband Jimmy, Charlene Harper and husband John, Billy Dean Young and wife Heather, Joann Bradshaw, and Patsy Lackey, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 Great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two daughters Lucy Whaley Gregg and Margaret Bradshaw Henderson, a brother; Elbert Mason, three sisters, Ola Lunny, Ethel Helms, and Frances Wykel.
Services will be 3 pm Tuesday at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Michael Royal officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm prior to the service at Stribling Funeral Home.
