Born May 16, 1939, in Bangor, Maine, he was the son of Marguerite Moore Blanchard, of Westfield, Mass., and the late Charles L. Blanchard. He was the husband of Deborah Blanchard, his wife of 46 years.
He was a retired computer systems analyst for the Social Security Administration. He served in the Air Force as a navigator in the 77th Bomb Squadron in Vietnam. He enjoyed golfing and was a Ham Radio Operator (N3II).
Surviving, in addition to his mother and wife, are son and daughter-in-law Donald and Amanda Blanchard, of Taneytown; a daughter, Susan Ann Santana, of Westminster; siblings Mary Berube, of Goshen, Mass., Robert Blanchard, of Somes Bar, Calif., and Sharon Marks, of Westfield; and grandchildren Jared, Jason, Jessica and Joshua.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.
A graveside service will be held, with military honors, at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 2800 Old Westminster Pike, Finksburg, with Deacon Joseph Cinquino, of St. John Catholic Church, officiating.
