Suggested edit: Mary M. Basore, 83, of Mathias, W.Va., died Wednesday at Hillcrest Nursing Home at Winchester, where she had been a patient for a year.

Mrs. Basore was born May 2, 1883 in Pendleton County and was a daughter of the late John and Sara Bright Eye.

She was a member of the Cove Chapel Methodist Church.

In 1903, she married W.A. Basore, who is a patient at Hillcrest Nursing Home.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, A.W. Basore of Winchester, a grandchild, three brothers, Melvin Eye of Hinton, Preston Eye, of Brandywine and Andrew Eye of Harrisonburg, and two sisters, Mrs. T.A. Foltz of Mathias, and Mrs. Hulda Williams of Brandywine, W.Va.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Cove Chapel Methodist Church. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
