Funeral services for George A. Blackburn of Coffeen were condcuted this morning at the Mt. Moriah Church south of Coffeen with interment in the church cemetery.
Mr. Blackburn, 73, died 11:30 a.m. Sunday, 17Jan, in Hillsboro Hospital.
The son of Clem & Lula Blackburn, he was born in Montgomery Co. & was a member of the Mt. Moriah Church. He married Fairy White in 1934. She survives.
Also surviving are 4 sons & 2 daughters, Bill & Norman Blackburn, Janice Mesnard & Connie Hendrickson, all of Coffeen; Bob of Ramsey; & Lamoine of Fillmore; step-brothers, Clement of Decatur; & Bill of Springfield; step-sister, Helen Short of Coffeen; 18 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren.
He was employed by Hillsboro Glass Co. & Hillsboro American Zinc.
