Hilda Ella Louise Bauer Grollimund of Floresville passed away on Monday, Dec. 16, 2002, at the age of 82 years and 20 days.
Mrs. Grollimund was born in Seguin on Nov. 26, 1920, to Julius and Emma Escher Bauer.
She was married in Hondo on Sept. 2, 1942, to Felix Joe Grollimund, who preceded her in death on March 25, 1998. Mrs. Grollimund had lived in the Loma Vista area since the 1940s. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lutheran faith.
Preceded in death by: parents; husband; son, Joe Emil Grollimund; brothers Henry, Gene, Hilmer, and Arnold Bauer; sisters, Irma and Edna.
Survivors include: sons, Alfred Grollimund (Clydean) and Leroy Grollimund (Mary); grandchildren, Tina Malcher (Kevin), Jana Sullivan (Philip), Tammy Grollimund, Alfred Lee Grollimund Jr., Alfreda Grollimund, Jennifer Rubio (Moses), Stacy Grollimund, Fred F. Grollimund, Cheryl Gallegos (Richard), Joe Grollimund (Jessica), Leroy Grollimund Jr. (Dianne), Zick Grollimund (Shannon), Valerie Arguijo, and Debra Grollimund; 23 great-grandchildren; brothers Alton "Boots" Bauer and Julian "Buddy" Bauer; numerous nieces and nephews.
A prayer service was held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19, in the
Vinyard Funeral Home in Floresville.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Friday in the Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor David Collins from St. John's Lutheran Church in Poth officiated the service. Music for the service included "Old Rugged Cross," "Amazing Grace," and "One Day At A Time."
Interment followed in the Floresville City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Alfred Grollimund Jr., Fred Grollimund, Joe Grollimund, Leroy Grollimund Jr., Zick Grollimund, Philip Sullivan, Kevin Malcher, and Larry Bauer.
