Funeral services were held Sunday February 15 at 2 pm in the Chapman Chapel for Lee P. Ledgerwood, 78, with T. Bone King conducting the service.

Mr. Ledgerwood was born March 17, 1891 in Collin County Texas to Lander and Dora Tellison Ledgerwood. Ledgerwood died February 13 at the hospital here. He was a veteran of WWI and a retired farmer. He had been a resident of Johnston County approximately 65 years. He married Bertie Lewis in Tishomingo about 1920. She preceded him in death in 1929. He ws offilated with the Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Olen Ledgerwood of Scottsdale, Az. and James (Buck) Ledgerwood of McAleser; one daughter Mrs. Opal Campell, San Diego, Ca.; three brothers Bill Ledgerwood of McAlester and James A. and Roscoe Ledgerwood of Tishomingo; and 6 grandchildren.

Interment was in Tishomingo Cemetery with Chapman Funeral Home in charge. pallbears were; Joe Harbert, Clinton Ward, Kenneth Lock, Lee Rowe, Jack Hulchem and Joe Russell.
