WHITEHORSE LAKE — Services for Inez C. Abeita, 86, will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 22, at Hospah Chapel, Whitehorse Lake. The Rev. Davel Saunders will officiate. Burial will be in family plot, Seven Lakes.
Abeita died Dec. 15, 2009, in Albuquerque. She was born in Ojo Encino, into the Bit Water People Clan for the Mexican People Clan.
Abeita was a life resident of Whitehorse Lake.
Survivors include her common law husband, Tommy Mescal of Whitehorse Lake; son, Kenneth Abeita of Whitehorse Lake; daughters, Jean Mescal, Ella M. Castillo, both of Whitehorse Lake; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
Abeita was preceded in death by her brother, Chiauito Castillo; sister, Elsie Tomacito.
Pallbearers will be James Castillo, Limbert Abeita, Lawrence Johnson, Scott Abeita, Glen Mescal.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Whitehorse Lake Chapter, following services.
