Mrs. Tina Adell Burgess Lucius, age 62, died Monday, July 16 at Pontotoc Community Hospital. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 17 at Houston Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. J W Bullock officiating assisted by Rev. Don Lambert.

The daughter of the late Joseph Rowland Burgess and the late Nettie Lora Vance, she was a housewife. She was born in Chickasaw County and was a member of Sand Hill Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Lathair Lucius of Houston; nine daughters, Mrs. Mary Evelyn Davis of Belmonth, Mrs. Lora Frances Penton of Atlantic Beach, Florida, Mrs. Sarah Dale Willard of Southaven, Mrs. Sandra F Sartin, Mrs. Louise Prewitt and Miss Tina Lucius, all of Pontotoc, Mrs. Gayle McCarver of Houston and Mrs. Dorothy Edwards and Miss Lisa Lucius, both of Oxford; three sons, Walter Lucius of Pontotoc, Marty Lucius of Amory, and David Lucius of Houston; three sisters, Mrs. Elaine Haney of Sumner, Mrs. Nettie B Tallent of Phoenix, Arizona and Mrs. Ruth Bang of Moss Point; three brothers, Leroy Burgess of Forrest City, Arkansas, J R Burgess of Meritt Island, Florida and Dr. Charles D Burgess of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and 16 grandchildren.
