Funeral services for Clement Harvey West, 83, supervisor of Augusta township from 1942 until 1950, were held Feb. 19 in the James Weiss was in charge. Pallbearers were Mac Witt, Chet Robbins, Albert Nicely, Carroll Lord, Clarence Green and Lloyd Belden. Odd Fellow services were held Feb. 18 at Cookson and Son Funeral home in Augusta. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery at Augusta.

Mr. West died Friday in Memorial Hospital at Carthage Feb. 17, 1967. He was born Nov. 13, 1884, a son of Edwin and Alice West. He was married Sept. 18, 1906 to Helen May Tobie in Quincy. She survives. He attended Augusta High School and Gem City Business College. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and Odd Fellows Lodge.

Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Walter, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Richard of Hammond, Ind.; and a daughter, Mrs. Robert Sherrad of Alpha. There are six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. A brother, Benjamin, of Galesburg, Mich., also survives. He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and three sisters.
