The Rev. Raleigh Clyde "R.C." Dixon, Jr., 77, of Varnamtown Road, Supply, died Monday, November 9, 2009 in the Brunswick Community Hospital.

He was born on February 2, 1935 in Brunswick County, NC, a son of Lucille Chadwick Dixon and Raleigh Clyde Dixon, Sr. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired as a supervisor with the Brunswick County Building and Operations Department. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his two grandsons Jordan & Joseph Milliken and a sister, Mary Lou Edwards.

He had pastored Union Chapel PFWB and currently was serving as pastor of Ocean View PFWB Church.

Surviving are his wife, Eula "Tuddie" Mae Dixon; son, Gregory C. Dixon, and wife, Jill, of Varnamtown; daughter, Bridget Milliken, of Shallotte; brother, Tommy Dixon, and wife, Cindy, of Supply, six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 12th in the Oceanview PFWB Church by the Rev. Gerald Kirby and the Rev. Bobby Norton.

Burial will follow in the Dixon Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Wednesday evening at the church from 6-8 pm.

Casketbearers will be Dennis Hewett, Butch Attebury, Keith Leonard, Philip Leonard, Michael Sellers, and Bill White.

Honorary casketbearers will be Mark Pecker and Michael Fowler.
