Funeral services for James Franklin Brown, 66 years old, of Claude, will be conducted tomorrow (Dec. 1st) at 3 o'clock in the First Baptist Church at Claude by Rev. J.J. Allison, the pastor, assisted by Rev. Jeff Moore.

Other arrangements had not been completed at Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Home today.

Mr. Brown, a resident of Claude for 30 years, died last night at 7:15 o'clock in St. Anthony's Hospital.

He was a farmer, operating a place about 16 miles southwest of Claude.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Dora Brown; five sons, James Brown, Amarillo; Bruce Brown, Hereford; and Meredith, Byron and Thurman Brown, all of Claude; a daughter, Miss Iris Brown, Claude; a brother, John M. Brown, Springfield, Mo., and a sister, Mrs. Ida Southard, Louisburg, Mo.


In 1900 James is staying with his Aunt Hannah E. Brown Clymore and Uncle Simon B. Clymore in Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory.
Hannah is James's father Samuel's older sister.
Simon B.Clymore was the son of Simon Clymore and Jane Mckefee Clymore.

James's death certificate shows his birthdate as 15 December 1884 and his parents as J. Harvey Brown and Sarah Tadlock. ( The name Tadlock is original, Andrew Nelson Tadlock / Tedlock changed the spelling when removing from Tennessee and locating in Missouri.Andrew was Sarah Jane's father and she may of changed it or not.)
