Joseph F. Cupolo, 58, of 731 Eagle St., owner and operator of the Colgate Candy Company since 1929, died yesterday in Faxton Hospital.
Born in Mt. Tabor, Vt., he moved to Utica at age 8 with his family and educated in local schools. Mr. Cupolo married Adeline Zito in Utica in 1933.
He was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Mr. Cupolo also was a member of the Utica F&AM lodge and the Utica Shriners commandery.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Frank J. Cupolo, and two daughters, Miss Marie and Miss Lucretia Cupolo, all of Utica, and three sisters, Mrs. Rose Mancuso and Mrs. Peter (Edith) Cuomo, both of Utica, and Mrs Victor (Pia) Graziadei, Latham, N.Y.
Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
