Maurine Estelle Loe Canaday was born in Kidder, Missouri, January 30, 1912, to Anna (Miller) and Emmett Otto Loe. She passed away peacefully November 2, 2009, at Ranchwood Nursing Center in Yukon, OK. Maurine married Walter "Duff" Canaday in 1939. They were married 53 years until Duff's death in 1992. Duff was a Presbyterian Minister. Together they ministered in St. Joseph, MO, Erie, Penn., Springfield, Ohio, Phoenix, AZ, Kansas City KS, Union Star, MO, Bentonville, AR, Pauls Valley, OK, Yukon, OK, and Okla. City, OK. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers Dale and John Loe. Maurine is survived by sons Jon Canaday, St. Joseph MO, Scott (Karen) Canaday, Yukon, OK, Duncan Canaday, Sr., OKC, OK, and daughter, Lisa (Eric) Okeke, OKC, OK. Maurine was "Grammie" to 14 grandchildren, Eric (Laura) Canaday, Yukon, OK, Jason (Carrie) Canaday, Richardson, TX, Jeremy (Micah) Canaday, Edmond, OK, Jennifer (Ken) Gallon, Grove, OK, Erin (Shannon) Fast, OKC, OK, Duncan Canaday, Jr., OKC, OK, James Canaday, OKC, OK, Meagan (Rex) Dommer, North Carolina, Rachel Tuohy, Corpus Christi, TX, Timmy Fisher, Midwest City, OK, Elisabeth, Erica, and Alex Okeke, OKC, OK, Chris Okeke (Azam), Phoenix, AZ. "Grammie" also leaves 15 great-grandchildren, Mattie, Allie and Carson Candaday, Yukon, OK, Ava Mae Canaday, Richardson, TX, Jayce, Holden and River-Kate Canaday, Edmond, OK, Caylon Kipers, Grove, OK, Infinity Crawford, Corrine and Josh Brooks, OKC, OK, Mason Canaday, OKC, OK, Olivia Dommer, N.C., Kelee Canaday, OKC, OK, Laila Elisabeth Okeke, OKC, OK, and sister-in-law Elisabeth Loe, St. Joseph, MO. A special thank you to Dr. Michael Ferguson, the staff at Victorian Estates, Ranchwood Nursing Center and Autumn Bridge Hospice. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday.
