I was all of 12 years old when you knocked in Hodges with an infield hit. The walk-off hit capped a thrilling come from behind 6-5 12th inning pennant victory over the Braves. Headlines the next day "Furillo forever." My very favorite Dodger game ever.

Carl, You were my favorite player. I used to get to Ebbets Field early to watch you during their warmup when you would throw perfect strikes into Campanella. You and Gil belong in the Hall of Fame. RIP

No one took an extra base on the Reading Rifle, and Abe Stark rarely gave away a free suit. You were the all-time greatest right fielder in Dodgers history. God bless you Mr. Furillo!

Skoonj, you were one of the best RFs ever to play the game! You could read that wall in short right at Ebbets Field like nobody else, and that throwing arm was from Krypton! Scoring from third on a line drive to right was practically impossible when you were out there. I hope they have a diamond in Heaven, Skoonj, so you and the other greats can still get it on.

I was 12 years old when I saw you at my first baseball game at Ebbets Field in 1947. I thought your nick name wasthe BULLIT because of the accuracy andspeed of your throwing arm. You wereindeed a talent to behold and one good looking Italian. Rest in peace in God's Love.

AS A YOUNG BOY GROWING UP IN BROOKLYN I WATCHED YOU PLAY, YOU HAD A GREAT ARMAND COULD READ THAT RIGHT FIELD WALL BETTER THAN ANYBODY. I THINK YOU WERE VERY BADLY TREATED BY THE DODGERS AFTER YOUR ACCIDENT

Carl (Skoonj): you were a great ballplayer and my favorite Brooklyn Dodger. Happy 19th anniversary in the Ebbets Filed in the Sky. Say hi to Johnny Podres for me, as he has joined your team up there.

Scoonge, I grew up in B'klyn & spent a lot of time at Ebbets Field. You were the best right fielder I ever saw. You could throw the ball from right field to third base on a rope. Thanks for the thrills. God Bless you & Rest in Peace
