Remembering you & Joe Brown visiting with my father John, who scouted for the Pirates in the 60's. I will never forget you allowing me in your broadcast booth when I was 12. (1965) RIP to all 3 of you.

The voice of the Pittsburgh Pirtates! I caught sight of you at the Saint Clair Country Club back in the days when I'd caddy up there. Your broadcasts were some great days at Three Rivers Stadium!

Hi Bob. It's been many years since my sister Mary and I had the pleasure of hearing your voice announcing a Pirates game. However this past summer we purchased two copies of game seven of the 1960 World Series. Hearing your voice doing the play by play was wonderful. You were the "voice of summer!" It has not been quite the same since you have gone. We sent the second copy of the game to our brother Jim who lives in Virginia so he too could hear once again you doing the play by play! We miss you Gunner! Say hi to Roberto, Willie, and all the other Buccos who have gone to the big "diamond" in the sky. Beat 'em Bucs!

Bob, you were the best announcer the Pirates ever had. You always had interesting stories to tell about people and the Pittsburgh neighborhoods unlike today where the announcers are kind of corporate.

A character with character and one of the truly good people in broadcasting. Did a lot for the Latino ballplayers. He made listening to a ball game a pleasure.

In 1973 the year Bobby Clemente went into the Hall of Fame at Cooperstown, NY, the Pirates played in the HOF game. I met Bob Prince at the Otesaga Hotel in Cooperstown. I introduced myself and said " Hi Mr. Prince, I'm from Syracuse, NY and I listen to you on KDKA up here in Syracuse, but you come in a little scratchy up here". He replied, that's alright son I come in scratchy in Pittsburgh too........One of the best.
