ALBRECHT, Amos - On Monday, Oct. 18, 1993 at Brunner Nursing Home, Brunner, Wellesley Area, Ontario, Canada he passed away. He was born 91 years ago in Mornington township, a son of the late Jacob H. Albrecht and the former Mary K. Jantzi and was predeceased by his step mother, Mattie Steinman. He was a member of Brookside Conservative Mennonite Church, Carthage. He enjoyed his fruit orchard as his hobby. Beloved husband of the former Nancy Zehr whom he married May 30, 1964. Dear father of Mary and her husband Elmer Gerber of Fort St. John, B.C. and Catherine of Milverton: loving grandfather of David, Merlin, Stephen and Harold Gerber, Mary Kathryn Rutherford and Susan Smith. Also remembered by 11 great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. He is survived by his half sisters, Selina (Mrs. Enos Boshart) of Seaforth, Clare (Mrs. Alvin Schlegel) of Kitchener, Lena and her husband Robert Shantz of New Hamburg, Eileen and her husband Gordon Woolner of Kitchener; his half brothers, Lorne of Wellesley, Emanuel and his wife Laurene of Palmerston, Harry and his wife Lucille of Kitchener, George and his wife Edith of RR2, Moorefield, Ervin and his wife Marjorie and Armand and his wife Eleanor, all of Kitchener. Amos was predeceased by his first wife, Bena Erb, January 11, 1961; one son in infancy; one grandson, Lyle Bruce Gerber, September 26, 1970; and one brother; six sisters and one half sister. Funeral service at 2 p.m. at Brookside Conservative Mennonite Church,Carthage with Bishop Henry M. Martin, Pastor Albert Brubacher and Edwin Martin officiating. Internment to follow in Poole Mennonite Church Cemetery.
