The funeral for Jesse E. Bernard, 84, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Sherry Shaw will officiate. Burial will be in Mem-orial Park Cemetery.

He was born Jan. 1, 1923, in Eagletown to Charles and Allie O'Brien and died Saturday, April 14, 2007.

He attended school in Norman. He served in the armed forces during World War II.

He married several times with the last being Velma Dusbabek Dec. 1, 1955. They lived in England, Montana and Nebraska and settled in Enid. Following his retirement from the military he worked for Webster and Goodson as an auto mechanic.

Surviving are two daughters, Debra Lounsbury and Ann Weber; two sisters, Opal Songer and Clarice Cracchiolo; four brothers, Willie Bernard, Jody Bernard, Don Bernard and Clifton Bernard; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma; one son; four brothers; and one grandson.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love or Cancer Relay for Life.
