Ada Irene Kimzey Banning age 84, of Fredonia, Kansas formerly of Neodesha, Kansas died Thursday, March 25, 2004 at the Beverly Healthcare of Fredonia.
Ada was born February 12, 1920 in Nelson, Missouri to Sam and Emma (Royster) Kimzey. Ada grew up in the Longton, Kansas area and attended the Longton School System.
On October 21, 1941 Ada married Boyd Swain Banning in Neodesha, Kansas. They made their home in Longton and Howard, Kansas before moving to Neodesha, Kansas in 1958. Boyd preceded her in death in 1976. In 1985 Ada moved to Fredonia, Kansas. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons Danny Roger Banning of Cherryvale, Kansas and Boyd Russell Banning of Cleora, Oklahoma. One brother Rolla Kimzey of Nevada, Missouri; ten grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2004 at the Neodesha Cemetery with the Rev. John Cohee officiating under the direction of the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Roger Banning, Nathan Banning, Trey Merrick, Dennis Banning, Danny Banning, Mike Harrelson, Adam Green and Honorary Pallbearer Jeff Olive.
Visitation hours will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2004, with family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2004 at the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home in Neodesha, Kansas
