McMAHAN, MAYFORD H. - age 80, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2001, at the Fort Sanders Parkwest Medical Center. Mr. McMahan was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served during World War II. He retired from the Container Corporation of Knoxville, after 35 years of service. Mr. McMahan was a member of the Park West Church of God. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy C. McMahan of Knoxville; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Stan Pippin of Knoxville; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Debbie McMahan of Atlanta, Ga.; grandson, Kevin Pippin and wife, Sheila, and daughter, Lily of Knoxville; grandchildren, Jessica, Jerrod, and Jacob McMahan of Atlanta, Ga., and sisters, Reba Hall of LaFollette, Lola Sharp of North Carolina, and Charlotte King of South Carolina. Mr. McMahan is at Highland Memorial Funeral Home, 5315 Kingston Pike, where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be conducted 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Gerald McGinnis officiating. Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday in Highland Memorial Cemetery.
