Enloe K. Alfeldt, age 75, of Oakdale, IL, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 7:07 a.m in Washington County Hospital, Nashville, IL.
Enloe was born on November 19, 1932 in Oakdale, IL, a son to Edward H. and Irene B. (Frieman) Alfeldt. On February 4, 1966, he married Mary Sandra Cantrill in Greenville, IL and she survives. Enloe retired from Menard Correctional Center after 28 ½ years working in the maintenance department. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict, a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Oakdale, IL, president of the Washington County Senior Citizen group and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.
He is survived by his wife: Mary Sandra Alfeldt of Oakdale, IL, three sons: Jason Alfeldt (Shene Malawy) of Oakdale, IL, Tim (Jodi) Alfeldt and Andy (Kim) Alfeldt, all of Avon, IN, two brothers: Cecil (Myrene) Alfeldt of Oakdale, IL and Rudy (Pat) Alfeldt of Marissa, IL, one sister-in-law: Ruth Alfeldt of East Peoria, IL, five grandchildren: Ethan, Jacie, Megan, Madison and Abby, and many dear relatives and friends.
He was preceded by his parents and one brother: Harold Alfeldt.
Funeral services will be held at Oakdale United Presbyterian Church, Oakdale, IL on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend John Campbell officiating. Interment will be in Elkton Cemetery, Elkton, IL.
Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Oakdale, IL on Friday, September, 19, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at Oakdale United Presbyterian Church from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
