John Habhegger was the first postmaster of Wrenshall. The post office was established in 1893 in his general store. Wrenshall was a city in Silver Brook Township, sections 20, 21, 28, and 29 and was incorporated as a village on March 17, 1926. It had a station on the Northern Pacific and Milwaukee Railroads in section 28.
