Bearden, Hugh G.

Born September 18, 1933, in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Bearden was a life-long resident of the Dallas area. He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Bearden in 1966, and brother, Joe Bearden in 1988. Mr. Bearden was a member of A.A. since June 1, 1975. He was the founder of LAUREL OAKS MEMORIAL PARK in 1958. He was a Dallas real estate broker since 1963. In the later part of his career he was involved in Texas Banks and was Chairman of the Board of the Commercial State Bank in Andrews, Texas until 1998 when he retired to his motor coach to travel with his family and friends. Mr. Bearden is survived by his wife of 52 years, Maxine Bearden, daughter and son-in-law, Tenna and Chris Thompson, son and daughter-in-law, Hugh G. II and Diana Bearden, 4 grandchildren, Adam
Stephens, Taylor Thompson, Mason Thompson, and Emily Catherine Bearden. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Visitation will be Thursday, November 25, 2004, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday, November 26, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. at Laurel Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leighton Bearden and Rev. David King officiating. Interment to follow at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park in Mesquite, Texas. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 8900 Carpenter Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75247.
