Harvey Henry Leon Albert of Hearne, Texas, passed away on Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, at the age of 85 years and 3 months.

He was born in Floresville on Nov. 4, 1919, to Charles Christian and Lillian Maeckel Albert.

He was married to Olga Treier in Helotes on Nov. 4, 1941.

Mr. Albert was a graduate of Floresville High School. He had resided in Texas for 25 years, California for 21 years, Arizona for five years, and Hearne for 10 years.

He was in the civil service from 1939-40. He also owned the Cotton Club in Poth from 1948-54. He worked as a drywaller and was a member of the Lutheran faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Eleanor Schimcek.

Survivors include his wife of over 63 years, Olga Treier Albert of Hearne; a son, Harvey C. Albert and wife Gladys of Beaumont, Calif.; his daughters, Judy C. McMullen and husband William of Mena, Ark., Mendy Jackson and husband Carl of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., Debra Bean and husband Donald of Nuevo, Calif., and Peggy Albert of Hearne; his grandchildren, Timothy Morris, Brian Morris, Cassidy Bean, Cameron Bean, Ronald Albert, Laura Gwin, and Jeffery King; his great-grandchildren, Courtney Morris, Tristen Morris, Coby Albert, Nicholas Gwin, Trevor Morris, McKenzie Morris, and Kylie Bean; a brother, Charlton Albert of Bandera; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 11, from 6-8 p.m. in the Vinyard Funeral Home in Poth.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor David Collins of St. John’s Church in Poth officiating.

Music will include “God Be With You ’Til We Meet Again,” “Amazing Grace,” and “Just a Closer Walk.”

Interment will follow in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Poth.

Pallbearers will be Tim Morris, Brian Morris, Ronald Albert, Kenneth Janik, Cassidy Bean, and Nathan Schimcek.
