Retabel (Tice) Storm, 97, of Shelbyville, IL., died at 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009, in her home.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009, in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville. The Rev. Kevin Ray will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials can be made to the First Christian Church of Shelbyville or the Shriners Children's Hospital. On line condolences may be directed to the family at www.lockartgreenfuneralhome.com.

Mrs. Storm was born Feb. 10, 1912, in Rose Twp., Shelby County, Illinois, the daughter of Andrew J. (Jack) and Ione Klauser Tice.

She married Stanley C. Storm, June 22, 1932, and he died May 14, 1993.

Reta was a member of the First Christian Church of Shelbyville, fifty-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Roy Vanderpool American Legion Post #81 Auxiliary, and was a Bronze Leader of the Commanders Club of the D.A.V. She was a life member of the Military Officers' Association of America.

Reta was a former employee of the Arcade Moore Hat Shop in Shelbyville.

Surviving are nine great-nieces and nephews; 17 great-great-nieces and nephews; and 15 great-great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Stanley C. Storm Ret.; her parents, Jack and Ione Tice; sisters and brothers-in-law, Agnes Steidley and husband, Arthur; and Jeanette Davis and husband, Harry Sr.; nephews: Harry Davis Jr. and wife, Rose; and Jack Davis and wife, Betty.
