Larry Richard Garlick, age 65, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2009, in his Berkey home, with his family by his side.

Larry was born December 12, 1943, in Toledo to the late Ira and Agnes (Gibson) Garlick.

He worked as a millwright for the former Daimler Chrysler Company until retiring in 2006, after 45 years of employment.

Larry was a life-long farmer and volunteered for 23 years with the Richfield Township Fire Department.

He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, and hunting out West. He and his wife often traveled together, visiting such places as Mexico, Hawaii, and Alaska. Larry's family was the most important thing to him, especially his 11 grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 45 years, Janet (Langenderfer) Garlick; children, Heather (Brian) Addis, of Chesapeake, VA, Shane Garlick, of Berkey, Nicole (Brian Moran) Garlick, of Toledo, Heath Garlick, of Berkey, and Cory (Haley) Garlick, of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Zachary, Zoe, and Alexa Addis, Travis and Ashley Garlick, Tori and Taylor Garlick, Kyndal Moran, Delaney, Sydney, and Dean Garlick and brother, Kenny (Marie) Garlick, of Berkey.

Larry was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kathleen; sister, Mary Ann and brother, Ira E. Jr.

Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, on Sunday, August 16, 2009, from 3-9 p.m. with a Service by the Richfield Township Fire Department at 6:30 p.m. followed by a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. On Monday, prayers will be held at the Funeral Home at 10 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish at Assumption, 2649 U.S. Hwy. 20 Swanton, OH 43558 beginning at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Richfield Township Fire Department, 11450 Sylvania Ave. Berkey, OH 43504-8700 or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.reebfuneralhome.com
