My cousin General Clement Anselm Evans' bio is incomplete. He was also a well known Minister, Commander of The Confederate Veterans and Evans County, Ga. was named for him. Evans county was named in honor of Gen. Clement A. Evans. Evans was a state senator from Stewart County, Georgia, a Brigadier General in the Confederate States Army, a Methodist minister, an historian and an author

"He hath rendered unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's" [Luke 20:25] Those words are on the stone of our great Ellison Capers, and they could as well be on yours. There is no higher tribute. Deo Vindice, Sir.
