Lloyd C. Rothman, 76, San Benito, Texas, formerly of Sioux City, died Wednesday at a Harlingen, Texas, hospital following a long illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at W. Harry Christy Funeral Home, 1801 Morningside Ave. The Rev. Robert E. Peters, pastor of the Community Presybterian Chruch, Lawton, Iowa, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of W. Harry Christy Funeral Home.
Mr. Rothman was born Nov 12, 1906, in Weeping Water, Neb. He moved to O'Neill, Neb., and in 1926, he moved to Sioux City.
Mr. Rothman married Bessie Tabola on Sept. 2, 1932, in Sioux City. For 17 years, he worked for Swift and Co. He also farmed in the Lawton, Iowa, area from 1944 until his retirement in 1970.
He is a former member of the Lawton School Board and a member of the Community Presbyterian Church, Lawton. He moved to Texas in 1975.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Norman of Sioux City; two daughters, Mrs. Darryl (Jackie) Lange, Lake Nabagamon, Wis., and Mrs. William (Shirley) Cooper, Sherman-Oaks, Calif.; a brother, Owen of Colorado SPrings, Colo., a sister, Mrs. Mae Wegher, Sioux City; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
