By 1860, they had moved to Lawrence County, Missouri and were living by her daughter Mary Catherine and Daniel Lester, who had made the move to Missouri at the same time as William Monroe Pendleton and Nancy Anney Dunning-Pendleton.
Mary is buried in the Dover Baptist Church Cemetery with some of her children and extended family.
