Mrs. Carol Ann Bahret, 51, of Havensville, died Monday evening, December 21, 1987, at her home. She suffered an apparent heart attack.

She was born July 5, 1936, at Wheaton, the daughter of Damien and Corinne Miller Elder. She spent all of her life in the Havensville and Onaga communities and was graduated from Havensville high school in 1954.

Mrs. Bahret was a student at Washburn University, Topeka, where she had earned many honors. For many years she coached the Havensville girls softball teams.

She was married to Blair Eddy Bahret on July 7, 1953, at Onaga. He died November 12, 1979.

Survivors include her father and step-mother, Damien and Cecilia Elder, Onaga; five daughters, Illa Kay Koblar, Jacksonville, FL; Ella May Bahret, Havensville, Mrs. Arla Ogle and Robin Bahret, Wamego, and Karla Bahret, Topeka; seven sons, Roscoe E. Bahret, San Diego, CA; Albert Bahret and Vernon Bahret, Silver Lake, Ernest Bahret, Lecompton, Earl Baharet, Soldier, Barton Bahret, Emmett, and Steven Bahret, Havensville; a sister, Mrs. Martha Bettencourt, Havensville; two brothers, Paul Elder, Onaga, and Don Elder, Havensville; and 15 grandchildren.

Services were at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 24, at the Havensville United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Havensville cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Carol Bahret Education Fund for her children and sent in care of the Farmers State Bank at Circleville.
