Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in East Frantz Cemetery, Cerro Gordo, with full military honors conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard.
Mr. Brubaker was born Sept. 14, 1926, in Salem, the son of Merle and Ida Mae Brubaker. He served in the Navy during World War II, was a buyer for a packaging company in St. Louis, Mo., and Kaufman-Eastern Packing Co. He was a member of the Illinois Association of Meat Processors, the former owner of Brubaker Meats and an avid golfer. He married Gladys Mae Johnson in 1951, and she preceded him in death in 1984.
Surviving are his special companion, Myrna Quinlan; son, Dr. Rockne Brubaker and wife Monica of Algonquin; daughter, Ronna Rhodes and husband Robert of St. Louis; grandchildren, Shauna, Rockne II, Collin and Marie Brubaker and Savannah and Austin Rhodes; sisters, Rozella Thomas and Karon Mills and husband Mike, all of Salem.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sister, Wanda Pearl Snyder.
