Emily Juanita Bandy Branscome, 86, of Pulaski, passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 2, 2008. She was a resident of Highland Ridge Nursing Home in Dublin. She was born on February 7, 1922 in Pulaski and she was the daughter of the late Clarence B. and Margaret Spence Bandy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Wilson Branscome. She is survived by nieces and cousins. Also surviving is a special great-nephew, Jeffery Gibbs and step children, Stanley Branscome, Elizabeth Gallimore and Brenda Thomas. Emily was a friend to everyone she met. She was an avid gardener and quilter and was an avid reader. She was a good Christian and was a member of the Pulaski Family Worship Center. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 7:00 PM from Stevens Funeral Chapel. Visiting will be Thursday evening from the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until the service hour. She will be buried beside her husband in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. In lieu of flowers please make donations to your church or your favorite charity.
