MONTEZUMA - Marydell Causey, 91 of rural Montezuma died 12:15 am Thursday, October 17, 2008 at her residence. She was retired with years of employment with Newport Army Ammunition Plant, Dr. Richard S. bloomer, Branson Insurance and Indiana Department of Corrections.
She was born January 13, 1917 in Rockville to Raymond Kendall and Golda Newgent Kendall. Her husband of seventy-two years, Max Causey, whom she married September 13, 1936 in Bloomingdale, survives her.
Other survivors include one son, James Causey of Montezuma; one daughter, Judy Potts and her husband Ronald of Houston, TX; on sister, Joann Sering of Phoenix, AZ; nine nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Kendall and Richard Kendall.

She was a member of Linebarger Chapel Methodist Church of Montezuma. She was a graduate and valedictorian of Bloomingdale High School and attended Danville Central Normal College. She was fifty year member of Montezuma Order of the Eastern Star #537.
Cremation was chosen. Memorial graveside services for family and close friends will be 11:00 am Tuesday, October 21, 2008 in West Union Cemetery with Leon Myers officiating and special music by Jim Meece. Inurnment will follow. Care and arrangements entrusted to Gooch Funeral Home, Rockville.
