Funeral Mass for Mary N. Griego, 82, of Capitan, was at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, May 31. Burial followed at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery in Carrizozo. Officiating was Fr. Dave Bergs.
Mary died May 25 at her home. She was born September 8, 1916 in Carrizozo and had lived in Lincoln County all of her life. She was retired from Fort Stanton Hospital and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She married Rene Griego in 1937 in Carrizozo and he preceded her in death on April 26, 1995.
She is survived by two sons, Robert and Larry Griego, both of Capitan; three daughters, Cecilia Griego of Redding, CA, Viola Fairbank of Easton, MD and Pristina Martell of Alamogordo and four grandsons. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Griego.
