Daily Scott Pelfrey, age 50, of Little Hardwicks Creek Road, Clay City, KY was killed in an automobile accident near the 12 mile marker, west bound on the Mountain Parkway in Clark County, KY Friday night, July 3, 2009. Born in Middletown, OH, Scott was a son of Daily Royal Pelfrey of Clay City, KY and the late Bessie Day Pelfrey. He was an Army Veteran, a retired salesman and he attended the Assembly of God Church. In addition to his father, he is also survived by two sisters: Brenda Means of Clay City, KY and Lisa (Kenneth E.) Groen of Winchester, KY; three brothers: Shelvy "Bud" Pelfrey, William Ray (Dorothy) Pelfrey and Danny Lee Pelfrey all of Clay City, KY along with 13 nieces and nephews. Funeral services officiated by Rev. Kenneth Gross will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Hearne Funeral Home Chapel, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Visitation is after 5:00 P.M. Monday, July 6, 2009 at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be in the Pelfrey Cemetery, Little Hardwicks Creek Road, Clay City, KY. Active pallbearers are Bill Demouth, Danny Lee Pelfrey, Chester Barnes, Bill Hatmaker, Earl "Bubby" Crase, Ken Groen and Matt Thompson. Arrangements by Hearne Funeral Home, Inc.
