Oliver Austin Brunni was born at Vendocia, Van Wert county, Ohio, May 15, 1878, and departed this life Dec. 7, 1922, aged 44 years, 6 months and 22 days. Oct. 16, 1906, he was united in marriage to Miss Amanda L. Wright of Mercer county, Ohio. They lived in Van Wert county about one year and then they moved to Gladwin county, Mich., and settled at Smith Creek. Mr. Brunni case was a very unusual one, but it was believed that his illness and death were caused from an injury in the head, caused by a horse kicking him about seven years ago.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Amanda Brunni, his mother, Mrs. Sarah Brunni, five brothers, Chas. and Jesse of Gladwin, Curtis, David and Wilbur of Van Wert, Ohio, four sisters, Mrs. Glenn Roller, Mrs. Loren Lake and Mrs. Clarence Koontz of Gladwin, and Mrs. Gilbert Custer of Van Wert, besides a host of other relatives and friends. His father and one sister preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Dec. 10 from the Evangelical church at Smith Creek, conducted by the Rev. L. F. Burkey. He was laid to rest beside his father in Highland cemetery, Gladwin. Gladwin County Record dated 12-14/1922 Column - 5 Page - 5
