Sun Hearld - March 7, 1997 - Theodore J. Maresca, 65, of Punta Gorda, Fla., died Jan. 13, 1997, in Paterson, N.J. He was born in Newark, N.J., and lived in Pequannock, N.J., for 15 years moving to Punta Gorda 10 years ago from Wayne, N.J. He was a retired government employee and a Navy veteran. Mr. Maresca was a member of American Legion of Pequannock and BPO Elks Lodge of Punta Gorda. Survivors include his wife, the former Antoinette Tamaro; sons, James of Jacksonville, Fla., and Frank Batelli of Wayne, N.J.; daughters, Donna Spaak of Tampa, Paulette Simento of Bayville, N.J., and Michele Giumarra of Paterson, N.J.; brothers, Anthony of Port Charlotte and Louis of West Windsor, N.J.; sister, Rose Goss of Libertyville, Ill., and three grandchildren. A memorial Mass will be offered at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Punta Gorda. Inurnment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 28441 S. Tamiami Trail, Suite No. 208, Bonita Springs, 34134, or to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 211 W. Charlotte Ave., Punta Gorda, 33950. Arrangements are by Roberson Funeral Home, Punta Gorda.
