A native of Newport, she was the daughter of the late Dave Wade and the late Clara Baker Wade Rose. She was a retired elementary school teacher in North Pole, Alaska, a graduate of the University of Kentucky and attended the Presbyterian Church in Winchester.
Survivors include a brother, Robert Wade of Villa Hills; a stepdaughter, Donna Taylor of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two stepgrandchildren, several stepgreat-grandchildren, half-brothers, half-sisters, and nieces and nephews, including Bill Hummel and Gail Rose, both of Winchester; and a special friend, Jimmy Roundtree of Powell County.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Scobee Funeral Home by the Rev. James Clark. Burial will be in Clarmont Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Robert Wade Jr., Robert Hummel, Anthony Hummel, Stetson Shimfessel, Scott Shimfessel and Jimmy Joe Rudicill.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday.
