Johnny Roark was the son of Everett Price Roark and Coretha Coody Roark. Everett and Coretha had three sons.
They were at the Withalacoochee River in Lowndes County, Georgia for a day of fun. Johnny was on the back of his Father and he was swimming him across the river. It is believed that Everett had a heart attack. Before bystanders realized that something was amiss, it was too late. Little Johnny had gone underwater and drowned.
They were buried together at Mt.Zion Cemetery, Lowndes County Georgia.
