This is the only way in and out. The headstones are mounted on the surrounding walls. The vaults are underground and made of white Tuckahoe marble.

Cemetery is located on 2nd Ave. between East 2nd St. and East 3rd St. in NYC. Gates are locked to the general public and opened only certain times of the year to researchers and visitors.
