Buford Ray Jones was born on Jan. 21, 1929, to Dee Earl and Bertie Lou Jones in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He married Cora Rose Seaton on April 10, 1947, in Seminole, Texas.
Buford is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rose. Buford is also survived by one daughter, Rosie Moore and husband Dick; and two sons, Buster Jones and wife Barbara, Randy Jones and wife Lorena; one brother, W. M. (Doc) Jones; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Buford was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and twin sons.
Family visitation will be Friday, May 29, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Shaffer Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 30, in Shaffer Funeral Home's Pioneer Chapel with burial to follow in Lawnhaven Cemetery.
