She was born Nov. 23, 1914, in Columbus, Texas, the daughter of Miles and Mittie Williams Jones Sr. She married Emmitt Gray in 1932; he died in 1977.
Mrs. Gray, a homemaker, was a member of Gayson Ten Club, Senior Bowlers Club and St. John's AME Church, where she served on the usher board, missionary board and choir.
Survivors: a son, James E. Gray of Springfield; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Miles (wife, Mildred) Jones Jr. of Altar, Texas; three sisters, Lola Releford of Dallas and Dorothy Ball and Gwen Adams, both of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services: St. John's AME Church, the Rev. Charles Jackson officiating. Burial: Oak Ridge Cemetery.
