New Deal (Special) – Services for Era Norman, 72, a 60 year resident of New Deal will be at 2 p.m. today in New Deal Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy McGuire, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Rix Funeral Home.
Mrs. Norman, a Texas native, died at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Methodist Hospital in Lubbock after a brief illness. She married E.D. Norman in Lubbock Jan. 21, 1928.

She was a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, James of Fresno, Calif., and Thomas of Euless; two daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Dorothy) Looney of Abernathy and Mrs. David (Juanita) Bell of Lubbock; three brothers, Ernest Exum and Elmer Exum, both of Lubbock, and Ewel of Ropesville; 14 grand children; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be, Clarence Phillips, Charles Arthur, Verlin Anglin, Perry Looney, John Shropshire and Sammy Norman.
