She was born July 4, 1914, in Everett, Wash., to Albert and Alma Martin Alf. She married Arthur Asplund in Tacoma on Nov. 10, 1934. He died May 26, 1982.
She received her education in Washington.
She was a homemaker who also worked at the 88-cent Store in downtown Eugene, Danebo Flowers and the Cannery.
Survivors include two daughters, Aileen and Mary Lee; a son, Jim; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
