Mary Tubbs Sanders was the daughter of Patriot John Tubb (1758 - 1836) who was wounded in his right arm and side fighting in the Battle of King's Mountain (October 7, 1780.)
Tubb (Tubbs) applied for Revolutionary War Pension on October 24, 1832, in Perry County, Alabama. The Daughters of the American Revolution designated him DAR Ancestor Number A116548.
Two ladies joined the DAR naming Mary as their ancestor, twenty one joined through her sister, Celia, who married Anderson West, and two through sister, Lucinda, wife of Thomas Oliver. Mary had two additional sisters: Nancy and Elizabeth.
