Anna Mae Baran Brewer, 86, of Uniontown, formerly of Greene County, died peacefully at 6 a.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2009, in Lafayette Manor, Beachwood Court, Uniontown.

She was born Friday, November 24, 1922, in Uniontown, a daughter of Andrew Baran and Elizabeth Medwith Baran.

Mrs. Brewer was a member of St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church in Carmichaels.

She enjoyed sewing and painting.

Before its closing, she worked as head bookkeeper for Union Supply in Greene County for many years.

On June 29, 1947, she married William Paul Brewer, who died February 12, 2002.

Surviving are her cousin and caregiver, Danell Pepson of Chalk Hill; a sister, Mrs. James Carlsen of Washington state; two sisters-in-law, Irene Brewer Mctague of Alexandria, Va., and Cecil Brewer Rush of Waynesburg; and a niece, Pamela, and nephew Gregory.

She also leaves her other caregivers, Donald McNaughton and Glady McNaughton.

In addition to her parents and husband, deceased are two brothers.

Burial will be in Garards Fort Cemetery.
